Heroin Treatment and Management

This training provides participants with an overview of the course of heroin addiction, including the short- and long-term effects of the drug and its withdrawal syndrome. Specific treatment strategies, including methadone maintenance and relapse prevention, are addressed. Participants will increase their knowledge and skills in the areas of heroin treatment, trends, and prevention.

She is proficient in knowledge and interpretation of governmental regulations with emphasis on systems organization, and policy development. Prior knowledge includes program Leadership in HIV, Substance use disorders environment of care management, grants development/management, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization preparation.
